The IB Programme is globally recognised by universities and governments, high-quality, internationally standardised curriculum that fosters critical thinking and personal growth and prepares students for higher education.

I am Karen Volpert, I am a secondary biology teacher and student coordinator of the DP1 and 2 classes and have been at the ISE for over 20 years.

I take great pride in watching our students grow and develop, witnessing how their opinions change as they become independent thinkers and life-long learners. The IB Programmes ensure that our students grow into global citizens who have a multitude of interests, empathy, and consideration, understand the complexity of the world, and find where they fit in and how they can contribute.

Secondary Department Report Cards are issued 4 times in the school year, generally in November, February, April and July. The 1st and 3rd reports are progress reports and the 2nd and 4th reports are full reports that include summative assessments for each subject studied. All reports include judgements on the cross-curricular skills which provide information on the student’s performance in each subject.
